Practical support for everyday life.

Our behaviour supports include individualized consultation, family coaching, skill development, social connection, interdisciplinary collaboration and transition support. We work with children, youth and families to understand behavioural, social emotional and developmental challenges, build on strengths and identify meaningful goals for home, school and community life.

  • Behaviour Consultation and Assessment

Understand needs and develop a practical plan.

Our BCBA led consultation includes individualized assessment and evidence informed strategies to help families understand and respond to behavioural, social emotional and developmental challenges. We learn about your child’s strengths, needs, routines and environment, then develop goals and a support plan together. The focus is on building skills and increasing participation at home, at school and in the community. We review progress and adjust the plan as needs change.

  • Individualized Behaviour Intervention

Practice meaningful skills with individualized support.

Behaviour Interventionists implement individualized, strengths based programs under clinical supervision and oversight. Sessions use interests, play, routines and everyday experiences to build adaptive, social, communication, self regulation and daily living skills. Individualized opportunities also support relationship building, confidence and meaningful social connection. Goals are identified with the child or young person, family and support team. Services take place at home, at school or in the community, depending on goals, service fit and setting permissions.

  • Caregiver Coaching and Family Support

Build confidence with strategies that fit your family.

We provide parents and caregivers with individualized guidance, education and practical strategies for their child’s developmental, behavioural, social emotional and daily living needs. Coaching builds caregiver knowledge, skills and confidence, supports family resilience and helps families use consistent approaches across environments. We practice strategies together, offer feedback and adapt support to your family’s strengths, priorities and capacity.

  • School and Community Collaboration

Connect support across the places your child spends time.

With family consent, we collaborate with educators, allied health professionals, service providers and community partners to coordinate goals and support plans. This interdisciplinary collaboration brings together knowledge of the child’s strengths, needs and priorities, helping support remain consistent, responsive and family centred. We also assist with transitions such as school entry, changes in programs or services and preparation for adulthood through collaborative planning, skill development and connections to appropriate resources.

We also work with home-learning families and have working relationships with a variety of online and distance-learning schools.

  • Life Skills and Independence

Build everyday skills through real life practice.

We teach daily living and adaptive skills through individualized, strengths based practice in meaningful settings. Goals may include learning bus routes, budgeting, applying for jobs, preparing snacks, cooking, personal care, routines, shopping and community safety. Support is adjusted as skills develop. Recreation, communication, relationship building and community participation can also be included to support independence, inclusion and quality of life.

  • Teen and Executive Functioning Support

Support planning, routines and growing independence.

We work with young people on organizing tasks, getting started, planning activities, solving problems and managing routines. Support may include checklists, visuals and practice in home and community settings. Goals can also include communication, coping, self regulation, relationship building and self advocacy. We support preparation for changes in school, services and adult life, with goals shaped by the young person and family.
